My Travel Essentials

Share With Your Friends

I strolled hurriedly with my stroll bag , checking my seat , I had goose bumps as my bag wobbled, a mental check ? Have I cramped it? My heart beat faster than ever, thinking of the journey ahead with the wobbly bag . It gave me pangs of fear as the journey had just began.

I am on another travel sojourn, as I settle down I give a look to my bag, a look of concern which was reciprocated by my bag too.It did say you have stuffed me and now I am about to burst. The first purchase on my destination was a new Bag.

That trip made me draw a list of essentials and non-essentials too. Wherever you’re planning to go, pick luggage that is versatile, lightweight, and big enough to hold all your travel essentials. The most important decision you’ll make is (as far as luggage is concerned) is buying a bag that has an awesome warranty.

Traveling with a piece of luggage with a broken wheel, handle, or zipper is  absolutely  worst! Brands that back their gear with stand-up warranties build that promised durability into their gear.

Rolling Bags

When I purchased mine, I  invested  good amount of time to research and listed  what I want from my luggage. It needs to be lightweight ,8 wheel easy strolling , spacious enough to carry all my required stuff , should be rough and tough so a warranty with sturdy wheels and zippers is a must.

Backpacks

Available in multiple designs, I love these Backpacks with myriad Compartments . They are trendy to use and keep the traveler in you organized. Available in waterproof material these are lightweight and ultra-modern.

Carry on—Duffle bag

Carry on bags  are easy, sassy, classy  and helps you  to get out faster as you can carry them into the cabin. According to me it’s a good idea to have a pair of clothes and few important must haves  in the carry on for a safer side.

Sling Bags

I prefer being Hands free , and  need somewhere to keep my phone, and important papers such as passport tickets and medicine …that’s where I prefer a sling which is lightweight and not to small nor too big.

Wallet

Carrying all cards is very important, as I have faced issues with cards and their T & C. I prefer to keep all cards in a wallet which is small, sleek smart and palm size fitting in my sling. Of course it’s a personal choice how you want it but they are an  important piece of the travel accessories.

Name Tags

Similar brands, color and size is often confusing when it comes to luggage. Tagging it makes it simpler and how to make it stand out here comes in the Travel tags.  I am a traveler and love  to embellish my luggage with symbolic and unique bag tags.

Shoe bag/organizer

Multiple pair of shoes while travelling are space consumers and having an organizer is a must for me. It’s also a matter of hygiene and keeping footwear with other luggage is not viable hence I prefer an organizer.

Bag organizers/Cubes

As much as travel excites me, packing is a tedious task. As I try to furnish an item I use to reorganize my entire bag, hence shifted to organizing cubes which helps me to remove what required and let the other stay undisturbed.

Travel Adapters

As the hair dryer in my Dubai hotel room emitted smoke, the adapter went Boom and the power went off, the staff came running to check as fire alarm was screeching. To have a good branded multi country adapter is a must.

Gadget Carrier

Multiple gadgets , multiple chargers entangled wires, tiny gadgets like the pen drive , ear plugs I need them safe and operational all the time and not digging into various places to find out I prefer a gadget organizer.

Travel Documents

With the latest Guidelines and  keeping in mind the ever evolving situation after the pandemic I  prefer a  four layered arrangement … 2 set of hard copies … I know I have  to save paper but this is essential … One copy in luggage , Copy 2 in my Sling . Originals in my hand and all soft copies in my Phone .

They include

  1. My identification
  2. Visa papers (if traveling overseas)
  3. Passport
  4. Ticket
  5. Photographs
  6. A debit /credit card
  7. Hard cash
  8. Driving License
  9. Insurance

I am ready to fly………
