Hidden Gems of Nasik Hidden Gems of Nasik

The backwaters of Vaitarna Dam lapping at my feet, the gentle breeze forming rhythmic waves to dance on its music, nestled amongst the Brahmagiri hills the landscape is rich with tall golden grass and rice fields ready to be harvested, the picturesque place is just 40km from Nasik.

Diwali vacation is around the corner and we are confined to our homes due to the pandemic, we are very tempted to venture out but at the same time radar is high on caution, so exploring Nasik is what we did, being at this incredibly beautiful water body at a farmhouse called TRAVELONG. It is a quick getaway.

Nasik blessed with a year-round great climate is known for its farmhouse stays in natural settings giving what you wish.

Touch of History

Bhagur near Nashik being the Birthplace of “Veer Sawarkar”; visiting the freedom fighter’s home gives a glimpse into his life and his great contribution to Indian Independence.

Over the years the city has grown up with, farmhouse stays, Vineyards and their tasting tours, the Mahakumbh and Temple tours, bird sanctuary, treks, trails, and hikes everything is just within the reach. The hills, forests, and water give the city its unique identity.

Rendezvous with the birds

With a smile on my face, the Bird seems to get me, “Hey it’s my break from the hectic routine with all my gadgets off, it’s my time to unwind and connect to Nature, it’s my time to empty my hard disk and start anew. It’s my time to not think and stare into the skies, fields, water and experience everything with not doing anything.”

I am indebted to my abode for the past 28 years, the pandemic allowed me to explore and express my feelings, apart from the early years of explorations of my city, vacations were always to other destinations than mine.

The city has grown to become cosmopolitan keeping its serenity, divinity, and Integrity Intact. Do take a weekend break to relax, recuperate and rejuvenate.
